Group Classes

Group classes are available to students who have already started with private training.  Classes are on a set monthly schedule and students must enroll through the PetExec portal in advance.  It is a "drop in" style where you may register for a single class at a time.  Group Classes are listed on the calendar page as well as in PetExec under Group Training.

Cost for a single group class:  $35

Group classes consist of the following types:

Basic Obedience

Student Limit for each Class:  5

When: Last Saturday of every month @ 10am

Students and dogs will be challenged by working around other dogs in close proximity.  The 5 basic behaviors (sit, down, place, heel, and come) will be repeated in various ways and with increased levels of distraction.  Agility equipment and games will be used as needed to challenge dogs and owners! This is a great next step for students who have completed a private training package and which to continue to practice in more challenging ways.

Student Limit for each Class:  5
Additional Required equipment:  Treats

When: 3rd Sunday of every month @ 10am

Dogs will have the opportunity to use agility equipment to build confidence and athletic ability. The Cat Walk, Teeter Totter, jumps, tunnel, wobble board and other equipment will be available for dogs and owners to use.  Various techniques and suggestions for teaching the dogs how to use the equipment will be offered.

Canine Good Citizen Test Preparation Class
Student Limit for each Class:  5
Additional Required Equipment:  dog brush

When: 2nd Saturday of every month @ 10am

Dogs and owners will go over the 10 different tests in the AKS's Canine Good Citizen Test.  A mock test of each dog will occur over the course of the class so that owners know what to work on to prepare for the test.  Any type of equipment (prong collar, remote collar, etc.) will be allowed in the class (even though in the actual CGC test, it is not).

Board and Train Graduate Class

Student Limit for each Class: 5

When: Last Sunday of every month @ 1pm

This class is for graduates of the board and train program.  Owners will be able to continue to practice and maintain the behaviors/manner learned at CDT, while in a group setting.  Owners may follow up with trainers about specific problems, assistance with equipment, or to just continue to take the training to the next level with increased distractions.

(There is no charge for this class as it is included in the price of a Board and Train)
