Paula brings a natural ability to read dog behavior and interpret it quickly to the CDT team!  A combination of her years of animal training experience at The Maryland Zoo and The International Centre for Birds of Prey, coupled with her strong desire to help people, makes dog training the perfect niche for Paula.

Having worked with lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and hawks (just to name a few!) gives Paula a wide range of experiences and learning styles in her animal training career.  In previous careers, Paula held management positions where she was responsible for training people, creating standards and instruction materials and troubleshooting problems.  All of these skills give Paula a great approach to dog training.  She is methodical and disciplined in her approach and yet also really likes to have fun and enjoys the individual bonds she develops with the dogs.  Paula is a jack of all trades, landing herself as the CDT handywoman, IT guru, creator of our Puppy Program, and is an incredible baker! She loves spending time with her friends and family and baking for others.

Paula is available for private lessons and helps with our Board & Train program.  She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and has been certified in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid by Pet Emergency Education.
